In order to convey the message that the world we live in is actually in danger, I chose subjects whose natural order is in jeopardy. the globe itself reflects the harm we are doing to our own planet. Mount rainier represents the harm that we do via simple things such as mining and excavating. And Icebergs are under the constant threat of global warming.
In order to make the back not just white, I chose to incorporate aspects of the front onto the back. the globe has stars in the background so I put stars on the back, clouds in front of mount rainier? put clouds on the back, and the iceberg floats in the ocean so I put an ocean on the back of it as well.
