Let’s start off with the question that I’m sure you all are asking.
No, there is no sacrifice.
Instead, there is hope and gifts.
We give that which we can provide
Whether that be as simple as food, or as complex as an art piece that took hundreds of hours.
When we give, we do not hope to harm
Nor do we wish to sacrifice
Instead, we are simply asking for help.
help with something we could not do alone.
You see, when we give we do not ask to change our destiny,
We instead ask for a helping hand to guide us along the right path
When we pray to our gods, we give.
We give in the form of gifts
Like how you give to a good friend.
And so if you give to a god of love
You wouldn’t simply give them anything
Instead, you would give something significant
Something that they may enjoy.
And so in the same way, you might ask a friend for a favor
We ask our gods.
